ARRB Systems is proud to collaborate with The National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) in Brazil on a groundbreaking initiative to assess and improve the country’s extensive highway network. Using our innovative iPAVe®(Intelligent Pavement Assessment Vehicle) technology, this large-scale survey is transforming how road conditions are monitored and maintained.

Why It Matters?

Brazil’s roads are vital for economic growth and mobility but maintaining them efficiently requires accurate reliable data.

For the first time, DNIT is undertaking a complete assessment of its road network across all Brazilian states, covering approximately 60,000 kilometers. This ambitious project utilizes ARRB Systems’ iPAVe®, a revolutionary technology that collects critical pavement data at traffic speeds.

The iPAVe® Advantage:

  • Comprehensive Data: iPAVe delivers integrated functional and structural data, providing a holistic view of pavement conditions.
  • Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD): The TSD, a key component, assesses pavement load-bearing capacity at traffic speed, significantly increasing efficiency and safety compared to traditional methods.
  • Continuous Deflection Data: iPAVe’s continuous deflection measurements provide a substantial increase in data, enabling precise pavement condition analysis.
  • Efficiency and Safety: By operating at traffic speed, iPAVe minimizes disruptions and reduces risks associated with lane closures and slow-moving surveys.

DNIT is taking a data-driven approach by leveraging our technology to evaluate their pavements.

Unlike traditional manual assessments, ARRB System’s iPAVe® collects high-speed, continuous data without disrupting traffic, allowing DNIT to:

  • Make proactive maintenance decisions
  • Optimize Road Asset Management Strategies
  • Improve cost efficiency and resource allocation

ARRB Systems is committed to supporting DNIT in this transformative initiative, contributing to safer, more durable, and efficient roads for millions of Brazilians. This project exemplifies the power of advanced technology in revolutionizing infrastructure management.
