ARRB Systems is excited to announce a significant expansion and verification of our iPAVe fleet in the USA, bolstering our capacity to serve a growing number of clients across North America. This strategic move ensures we continue to provide the most precise and reliable pavement data for smarter infrastructure decisions.

The iPAVe recently made its journey across the Atlantic from Europe, joining our existing US fleet to meet the increasing demand for advanced pavement measurements. Before its transatlantic voyage, the iPAVe underwent crucial upgrades at Greenwood Engineering, transforming it from a Gen 1 system to the state-of-the-art latest Generation iPAVe. This extensive upgrade ensures the unit is equipped with our latest technological advancements. The system was thoroughly tested by the ARRB Systems Europe team, including collection of pilot study data, providing confirmation it was ready to hit the ground running in the US.

To ensure absolute consistency and reliability across our expanded fleet, ARRB Systems, in collaboration with Texas DOT (TxDOT), Texas Transportation Institute (TTI), and the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP), gathered in Dallas, Texas, on July 24, 2025. The primary objective was to conduct a rigorous comparison of continuous deflection measurements from our iPAVe2 and iPAVe3 systems.

During this detailed analysis, both iPAVe units underwent comprehensive testing, covering deflection, slope, and velocity metrics at precise 5 cm intervals. The results were conclusive: both iPAVe2 and iPAVe3 systems demonstrated consistent and reliable performance across all tested parameters. The strong correlation of results between both systems, as well as against external benchmarks, provides complete confidence in the robustness of our data and analysis methodology.

With this successful validation, our iPAVe units are now keenly collecting valuable data-driven insights across the US, Canada, and Mexico. The continually expanding fleet significantly enhances our ability to deliver high-quality pavement data and analysis to fulfill the growing need across North America.

Contact us today to find out when one of the ARRB Systems iPAVe will be collecting near you and how we can support your pavement management needs.
