The 2026 European Road Profile Users’ Group (ERPUG) conference brought together road authorities, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss the future of road profiling, pavement assessment, and maintenance planning.
ARRB Systems was pleased to attend and exhibit at the event, engaging with industry professionals from around the world and exploring emerging developments in pavement management technology.
A key theme throughout the conference was the growing role of data in supporting maintenance decision-making. Discussions highlighted the importance of helping road agencies translate increasing volumes of condition data into practical, cost-effective maintenance strategies while also considering environmental and climate-related factors. The potential impact of artificial intelligence and connected vehicle technologies on the future of road infrastructure management also featured prominently.
During the conference, ARRB Systems Principal Engineer Klavs Olsen presented a case study titled Improved Pavement Assessment Using iPAVe and Hawkeye Insight. The presentation demonstrated how integrated pavement condition data can help road agencies gain deeper network insights and support more informed maintenance decisions.
The event provided valuable opportunities to connect with existing partners, meet new industry colleagues, and exchange ideas on the future of road assessment and asset management.
