We are seeking an experienced and professional Field Service Technician. Our ideal candidate will primarily focus on the assembly, manufacture, calibration and installation of vehicle based electronic road survey equipment. Due to the global nature of the business, there will be opportunity to be involved in international projects to service customers.
Main Duties of the Position:
- Assembly, manufacture, calibration, validation and installation of vehicle based electronic road survey equipment.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance and audit programs for customers.
- Assist with assembly, commissioning and user training of equipment builds.
- Provide onsite assistance for maintenance of customer equipment.
- Work in remote locations, both domestically and internationally.
- Follow project plans and meet all relevant deadlines for delivery.
- Assist in the development and testing of new products where required, providing feedback on suitability.

We have developed several new products that are changing the way road agencies manage their assets. As part of our rapid expansion in the USA we are looking for driven, enthusiastic field staff to deliver our services. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely and accurate collection of road survey data across various project sites and locations in the United States and Canada.
- Operate data-collection computers and equipment to collect pavement surface and structural condition, geometry, and video imaging data.
- Perform basic data processing and assist with processing, checking and management of collected roadway data as needed.
- Assist with equipment calibration, verification, validation, testing and maintenance on survey equipment and sensors as needed.
- Assist equipment assembly specialists during installation of new equipment.
- Drive, operate, and troubleshoot high-tech data collection vehicles mounted with various sensors to collect pavement and roadway data, along with another operator/driver as part of a survey crew.
- Comply with all OSHA and ARRB Quality procedures and policies as required.
- Attend training programs to learn about upgrades and improvements to survey vehicles and equipment.
- Must be able to travel for up to 75% (field/office ratio is 75/25) during peak season.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Valid driver’s license is essential.
- Solid computer knowledge including experience with MS Excel and Windows environments.
- Attention to detail and take pride in quality of work.
- Positive and can-do attitude and be a team player.
- Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing and unknown circumstances.
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative.
- Navigational skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Electronics knowledge / background.
- Mechanical knowledge / background.
- Working knowledge of GIS applications.
- Must be able to obtain a passport and travel by air (locally or abroad) as required.

- Drive, operate and support high-tech data collection vehicles (tractor-trailer, tanker or cargo van), mounted with various sensors to collect pavement and roadway data.
- Long distance driving to collect road survey data across various project sites and locations in the United States and Canada.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Valid CDL license is essential, with 2 years+ driving experience
- Current medical examiner’s certificate
- Must be able to travel up to 75% (field/office ratio is 75/25) during peak season
- Long-distance driving skills
- Solid computer knowledge including experience with MS Excel and Windows environments
- High school diploma and post-high school certificate programs
- Attention to detail and pride in quality of work
- Positive can-do attitude and a team player
- Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Electronics and mechanical knowledge
- Good navigational skills
- Past military experience preferred
