On October 7th and 8th, 2024, ARRB Systems participated in an important project at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute’s (VTTI) Smart Road & Urban Streets facility in Blacksburg, Virginia. Using ARRB Systems cutting-edge intelligent Pavement Assessment Vehicle (iPAVe), the team gathered comprehensive pavement data to support the proof of concept for validating deflection velocity measurements under a moving load.
As Traffic Speed Deflection Devices (TSDDs) gain broader acceptance globally, ARRB Systems is committed to working closely with universities and researchers, to ensure standardized procedures for collecting high-quality, repeatable data are in place. This collaboration underscores ARRB System’s dedication to advancing the future of road safety and pavement assessment technology.
ARRB Systems continues to lead the way in developing innovative solutions for infrastructure evaluation, supporting safer, longer-lasting roads worldwide. ARRB System’s iPAVe is the only proven, fully comprehensive data collection system in the world, making it a critical tool in advancing pavement assessment technology and ensuring that road networks are maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
